Dream Up Endless Looks: How to Style the Poet’s Garden | GLDN

About the collection

Welcome to the Poet’s Garden: a jewelry dreamscape of subtle colors, natural silhouettes and dainty everyday gemstones that bridge the gap between the world around us and the one in our dreams. The Poet’s Garden is a place where you are both the artist and the canvas; where old jewelry rules cease to exist to make way for new, fresh ways of stacking and styling jewelry.

Our founder, Chrissy, designed this collection to focus on color, whimsy and romance with just a touch of magic in the mix—think secret garden energy. And when you get to know these pieces, you’ll see it: they’re inspiring without being cheesy, eyecatching without being over the top, and elegant without being boring. In short, they’re poetry you can wear; a daydream you can return to again and again. Consider this collection a library of pieces you can style a million ways to tell a million different stories.

To celebrate Chapter Two of the Poet’s Garden (which really leans into a daydreamy summer feel), we broke down our favorite ways of styling this collection to hopefully inspire you to make it your own, too.

Styling an ear stack

Make color the main character

With studs this dainty and hoops this understated, you can go all-in on color without overwhelming your look—think soft cascades of color that flow into the next. Every gemstone in the Poet’s Garden was specifically chosen to work well with all of the others, so no need to overthink it.

We love a smattering of mauves, greens, midnight blues and champagne yellows with some clear gemstones (like white sapphire!) mixed in. Let your mood guide your color choices, align your look with the current season or simply choose the hues that speak to you on a soul level. Curiosity and creativity are the cornerstones of this collection, and we’re all for making it yours.

Don’t be afraid of asymmetry

We get the hesitation: for years, we’ve all been fed overly perfect images of evenly spaced hoops, matchy-matchy studs and stacks that, while beautiful, aren’t at all interesting. Throw those rules out the window (byeeee!) and start creating truly unique stacks with a few simple tips.

Switch up your look from ear to ear—maybe only one ear gets a hoop, or each side tells a different color story—and wear twice as many of your favorite earrings in one day. We also love straying from graduated ear stacks (you know, where the largest earring is in your first piercing and they get smaller from there) by wearing hoops in unexpected piercings, adding charms and wearing studs in fresh ways.

Use sculptural studs and climbers to ground each stack (like our Ladybug Studs or Rose Ear Climber) and accent with gemstones and hoops galore. The canvas is yours and there are no boundaries.

Styling a ring stack

Make unexpected shapes

While a streamlined ring stack always has its place, there’s poetry in imperfect ring layers. Think arched gemstone rings atop colorful stackers, floral rings paired with signets and a mismatch of color and texture—something that truly tells a story.

If this sort of look is new to you, try a triple-stack approach. Start with a multicolored ring (like the Poet’s Garden Gradient Ring) to pull it all together, a slightly larger ring with a single gemstone (like the Leaflet Ring) to ground the look and an arched ring (like the Dewdrop Arch Ring) to sit on top like a crown. Once you get the hang of it, you’ll find there are hundreds and hundreds of ways to mix and match just a few rings, so every day feels fresh and new. We even went ahead and bundled our favorite ring stack and added a little discount.

Styling a necklace stack

Take texture to a new level

When you see a super-shiny necklace, do you know what makes it that way? Texture. Little grooves or indentations that reflect the light. Add gemstones to that and you become sunshine incarnate. Akin to our tips on earrings and rings, our necklace styling tips are much the same—with some unexpected ideas to take your look over the top.

Start with a dreamy choker or collarbone-grazing necklace with texture and shine—either the Midnight Blossom Necklace or Leaflet Necklace—to add a floaty, ethereal feel that sets the stage. From there, layer in longer pendant necklaces or chains to build off that focal piece. When it comes to necklace stacks, it’s really the yin and yang of delicate versus bold, short versus long and one texture versus another texture that makes a look balanced, interesting and wholly your own.

Make it extra charming

Charms are back in a big way in 2025 (or did they ever really leave)? Either way, more is more when it comes to these tiny keepsakes. Add charms to chokers, chains and—our personal fave—a Charm Holder necklace. This way, you can switch up your charms from day to day or season to season, and hold 5-6 charms in one piece.

To build a jumble of charms, here’s our advice: choose one larger charm or pendant to ground the look, add a few tiny 3D charms and finish with a gemstone or two to catch the light and make your entire look feel whimsical and romantic.
