Wish You Were There: Pop-Up Shop Photo Diary | GLDN
You’ve made this past year one for the books.
From our Flora Finds Scavenger Hunt in LA to our V-Day Soiree in Bellingham to our Neighborhood Goods pop-up in Austin, we’ve been taking our jewelry on the road to meet our incredible community, show off our pieces IRL and personalize them right in front of you—and it’s been the stuff of dreams.
Connecting with Community
We see your orders come through, read your reviews, reply to your comments and stay inspired by you on the daily…but we love getting to do it all in person, too!
“We wanted to start hosting pop-ups and in person events more because we know that there’s just nothing like IRL connection with our community,” says our Community Engagement Manager, Kenna.
"In-person moments capture the heart of GLDN—meaningful, personal stories being transformed into handmade emblems that represent each person’s unique journey. When we’re in person, we get the honor of hearing why someone chose the birthstone of their sister to wear on a gold chain each day, or the coordinates of their proposal location stamped on a ring for their heirloom stack. Your stories matter, and it touches us deeply to hear them and create pieces that honor them. I also love getting to hear how peoples’ relationships with GLDN have grown over the years as they’ve added to their families, their milestones, and their jewelry collections!”
Making it (Extra) Personal
We always say we have a million ways to make a piece yours—but creating it in-person makes it that much more so.
“One of my favorite parts of pop-ups is sharing ideas for crafting a truly one-of-a-kind piece!” says Kenna. “Because our makers come to each pop-up, they’re able to co-create with customers, resulting in truly unique pieces. We have so much fun taking on the challenge of combining two chains into one clasp, fitting multiple birth flowers onto one pendant, and other requests that are made possible by collaborative, on-the-spot design. On a practical note, we love helping customers measure their exact ring size or necklace length and style pieces together in new ways.”
Just Getting Started
Haven’t visited your city yet? Don’t fret—we’re always looking for our next stop.
“We’re hoping and planning to host more GLDN pop-ups in different cities across the U.S.,” says Kenna. “We’ve gotten requests to visit every corner of the country, and we dream of a GLDN-mobile that can set off to serve customers near and far. In the near future, we plan to add more cities to our roster and more offerings to our pop-up setup (a piercing station, anyone?!). Always feel free to email or DM us with a request for your city. We’re listening!”
Thanks to everyone who’s visited one of our pop-ups (and anyone who supports our work so we can bring our jewelry to you)! To request your city next, DM us on Instagram, chat with our Care Team or take this quick survey.
We’ll always post our next pop-up location on social—keep an eye out. 💕
