- Find a tool to use (string, dental floss, headphone cord, measuring tape if you have it).
- Find the length by wrapping it around your neck and marking it (for pendants, imagine the jewelry lower, for suspended, it should be in line).
- Check the length against a ruler or lay it out flat and measure with a phone app.
Alternatively: Measure an existing necklace end to end with a ruler (most accurate) or a phone app (great if you don’t have a ruler handy).

I ordered a Poet’s Initial Pendant ‘H’ which is my newborn’s first initial, and I am in love! The quality is incredible and the colors are muted enough to wear with any outfit, but the stones still show enough to stand out. I strung it on a gold chain I already owned and wear it every day now. If you’re considering purchasing, I’d say just do it! I plan on getting my husbands initial as well to wear together and maybe even the matching earrings eventually!
