Find a tool to use (string, dental floss, headphone cord, measuring tape if you have it).
Find the length by wrapping it around your neck and marking it (for pendants, imagine the jewelry lower, for suspended, it should be in line).
Check the length against a ruler or lay it out flat and measure with a phone app.

Alternatively: Measure an existing necklace end to end with a ruler (most accurate) or a phone app (great if you don’t have a ruler handy).

10k solid gold is the jewelry world's best-kept secret. It's even more durable and scratch-resistant than 14k solid gold...while also being more affordable! It's also waterproof, sweat-proof and made for 24/7 wear, just like 14k solid gold, and looks nearly indistinguishable than 14k in color and shine.

It really depends on how you’d like it to fall on your neckline. We recommend the 15-17” if you’d like it to drape along your collarbone, and a 17-19” if you’d prefer something a tad longer (or want to layer this piece with other necklaces!). We offer custom lengths, too, if you prefer something longer (up to 24").

Dainty perfection
I agonized over what chain to buy and where to buy it from and kept coming back to this one. I was stressed that it wasn’t going to be as nice or sparkly as it is in the photos. So stressed I waited to open the package when it arrive because I was already having a challenging day. When I finally opened it I was STUNNED. It is absolutely perfect. Dainty but sturdy. Catches the light beautifully. Just overall fantastic. I wish I had bought my other necklaces from GLDN. Now I know!

Really tiny but lovely
This was a little smaller than I expected it to be, but I've grown to really like it. Shimmers really beautifully and so far about a few weeks in has held up (haven't taken it off since I gotten it). I was a little worried about durability due to its daintiness but haven't had any close calls yet.
