Features a circlet of muted, modern gemstones framing a suspended initial charm, all strung on our signature dainty chain for maximum sparkle! These gemstones aren't customizable, but you'll adore them (we swear). This palette was designed to to play perfectly with gold and silver alike—with just enough color for everyday wear.

More premium than traditional gold plating, vermeil is an extra thick layer of real gold over solid sterling silver. We use 14k or 18k gold depending on the piece.

    Gemstone Frame Initial Pendant Review

    I really love the Gemstone Frame Initial Pendant, I like the delicacy of the small gemstones, they look really pretty framing the Initial. If I had two small suggestions that could have made me like it slightly better would be: First it would be nice to be able to select some sort of color scheme for the gemstones. I was ordering this as keep sake to remind me of my son - the gemstones in the necklace I received are mostly more traditional girly colors and I was thinking it would be nice it I was able to select more blues/greens/browns or other more traditionally boy colors when ordering. I was aware that the colors would be random so I am not super upset I just thought it would be nice to be able to select. The second thing that would be nice would be to have more selections for the chain the pendant come on. I prefer a flat chain for my necklaces so I will probably end up just getting one to put the pendant on.

    Pretty but subtle

    The colored gemstones are much more subtle and difficult to distinguish from the others. I’m disappointed with how pale the stones are compared to the photos. It’s pretty, but not what I expected. I do t think it’s worth the price.

    Rips your hair out

    The necklace is cute and the gold material seems to be holding up well. However, the chain is constantly ripping my hair out. It is covered in my hair, and it is almost impossible to take it all out without tangling or damaging the chain.

It really depends on your personal style. Gold vermeil and sterling silver are timeless, long-lasting metals that are easy to care for. That said, they have two totally different vibes in this piece! If you want a necklace that shines like the sun, choose gold vermeil. If you want a necklace with an ethereal glow, choose silver!
