More premium than traditional gold plating, vermeil is an extra thick layer of real gold over solid sterling silver. We use 14k or 18k gold depending on the piece.

- Find a tool to use (string, dental floss, headphone cord, measuring tape if you have it).
- Find the length by wrapping it around your neck and marking it (for pendants, imagine the jewelry lower, for suspended, it should be in line).
- Check the length against a ruler or lay it out flat and measure with a phone app.

I was originally given this charm (on a chain/necklace) by a close family member for Christmas. The butterfly/symbol held deep sentimental value so I wanted to include it as part of the jewelry I love and always wear (typically all day and all night, including in the shower etc.) It looks so so dainty and delicate and I hadn’t previously bought gold jewelry from this brand so I was concerned it wouldn’t withstand daily wear (scratches, discoloration etc), but it was shockingly durable and still looked brand new almost a year later. It was unfortunately lost when it slipped off the chain at some point but I loved it so much that the butterfly was replaced and will hopefully last for years to come. :)
