Abalone is an iridescent layer of a seashell, much like mother of pearl. We use farm-raised abalone in our Aly & AJ pieces for sustainability! To care for abalone, avoid harsh chemicals and soaking the piece in water; we recommend removing before showering or swimming to maintain its delicate shine. To clean, gently wipe with a soft cloth.
